Position Overview: In the role of Project Coordination Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of commercial glazing projects from initiation to completion.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Demonstrated success in project management within the commercial sector.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities, capable of effective collaboration with clients and proactive problem-solving.
  • Leadership Qualities: Proven leadership skills to inspire teams, efficiently manage resources, and enhance project outcomes.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the execution of the contract scope of work within the defined budget and timeline.
  • Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to grasp project requirements.
  • Maintain awareness of job completion status for billing purposes.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of submittals and shop drawings.
  • Communicate effectively with foremen and team members regarding project materials and installation processes.
  • Schedule material deliveries to optimize labor utilization and project space.
  • Manage purchase orders for glass and aluminum materials while liaising with vendors.
  • Engage with job superintendents and project managers to confirm job conditions and schedules before project commencement.
  • Participate in job meetings and coordinate project installations with field supervisors.
  • Monitor job progress in relation to estimated versus actual labor and materials.

Knowledge & Skills Required:

  • Understanding of commercial construction practices.
  • Effective communication skills and sales aptitude.
  • Proficient in interpreting construction plans, drawings, and specifications, with the ability to generate accurate estimates.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Attention to detail, organizational skills, and mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
