Learning Development Manager

The Learning Development Manager is responsible for ensuring effective implementation and management of onboard learning programs and initiatives. This role works in close collaboration with the HR Manager and onboard Leadership Team to address existing and future learning needs and acts as a coach to develop and enhance individual facilitation skills.
Key Responsibilities
Onboard Learning
- Oversee onboard learning ensuring all training programs and initiatives are effectively implemented and delivered as per company guidance.
- Implement learning tools and activities that promote Company Culture transformation efforts and initiatives.
- Effectively implement and manage all Learning & Development learning programs and initiatives through planning, onboard communication, facilitation, and ongoing administration.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with regulatory, corporate, and other training program requirements for all eLearning courses and the Instructor-led sessions supported and delivered by the Human Resources Department.
Talent Development
- Support supervisory and leadership development through actively promoting and facilitating the Management Essentials Program.
- Provide training, guidance, and support for the onboard Performance Partnership process.
- Partner with onboard leadership in the development of teammates and provides support on succession planning efforts.
Learning Delivery
- Prepare for effective facilitation of a learning experience through thorough knowledge of the learning materials, practice, and advance preparations.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Engage learners through facilitation with effective questions, storytelling, and other dynamic techniques.
Human Resources Support
- Maintain awareness and focus on teammate's well-being.
- Collaborate with HR Manager and supports Human Resources services onboard.
Safety and Compliance
- Comply with fleet regulations and other applicable internal, external, and governmental regulations at all times.
- Always work in compliance with Maritime Labor Convention (MLC) 2006 guidelines.

Requirements
- Two to five years of progressive Learning and Development experience, preferably within a premium hospitality service environment.
- Prior experience in the cruise industry will be considered an asset.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree, or international equivalent, in Learning & Development, Human Resources, Education, Organizational Development, or a related field will have a preference.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Exemplary presentation and facilitation skills.
- Experience in delivering supervisory and leadership development content as well as in the facilitation of culture transformation programs to a diverse audience through the lenses of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
Personal Characteristics
- Effective communicator with outstanding people skills and a warm, friendly, and caring personality.
- Keen attention to detail and strong administration skills.
Physical & Travel Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must be able to perform normal and assigned emergency duties.
