Position Overview:
As a Registered Dietitian II at Cambridge Health Alliance, you will play a crucial role in promoting health through nutrition. This full-time position involves working in the Outpatient Nutrition department, where you will provide expert dietary assessments and personalized nutrition counseling to a diverse clientele.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducting thorough dietary assessments and delivering tailored counseling based on individual needs.
  • Engaging clients in interactive nutrition counseling sessions that consider their unique knowledge and interests.
  • Utilizing culturally relevant nutrition education materials to enhance counseling effectiveness.
  • Developing and documenting personalized nutrition education plans during client appointments.
  • Collaborating with healthcare professionals, including nutrition staff and social workers, to ensure comprehensive participant care.
  • Assisting in the training and development of nutrition staff, dietetic interns, and students.
  • Contributing to the creation of nutrition education resources.

Qualifications:
  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree in public health nutrition, nutrition, food and nutrition, or a related field is required. A Master’s degree is preferred but may be substituted with relevant work experience.
  • Licensure: Registered Dietitian (RD) and Massachusetts Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist (LDN) are preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of two years of experience in community and medical nutrition therapy post-internship is required, with a preference for experience in healthcare or community settings.

Skills:
We seek a collaborative team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills. Bilingual candidates are preferred. The ability to work at multiple locations and flexibility for Saturday/evening hours is essential. Candidates must also be able to transport themselves between sites.
