Position Overview:
The IT Business Systems Analyst for Oncology is tasked with managing both the technical and functional elements of the Beacon Oncology Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems. This role encompasses leadership in projects, report generation, programming, template development, and system oversight.
Qualifications:
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or a medical degree such as Registered Nurse (RN), along with four (4) years of experience in IT or system administration.
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE
Epic Beacon certification is required; candidates must obtain certification within six (6) months of starting the position.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of three (3) years in a related field.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Demonstrated experience in change management, project management, user acceptance testing (UAT), integrated testing, and planning for growth and extensibility. Strong communication skills are essential, along with the ability to perform effectively under pressure and collaborate within a team. Candidates should possess robust analytical and technical skills to address routine and complex issues following departmental protocols with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the functionality, operation, implementation, and integration of specialty-specific EMR and/or imaging systems. Supervise the performance and activities of the departmental software support engineer.
- Identify data requirements and opportunities for process enhancements related to the specialty-specific EMR and/or imaging systems.
- Provide comprehensive support to end-users of the specialty-specific EMR and/or imaging applications.
