Job Overview

The Aircraft Engine Maintenance Technician will deliver prompt aircraft engine servicing, repairs, and field assistance. In this role, you will engage in engine diagnostics, on-site repairs, and routine maintenance while fostering strong relationships with clients through exceptional service awareness.

Key Responsibilities:

Essential Duties:
  • Conduct maintenance on GE/CFM aircraft engines globally, adhering to the highest quality standards.
  • Collaborate with the planning team and CVG inspectors to implement business-specific strategies that enhance customer service and generate additional opportunities.
  • Comprehend and adhere to the relevant Aircraft Maintenance Manual and Engine Shop Manual protocols.
  • Exhibit thorough knowledge of OWS Quality Procedures, along with FAA/EASA Part 145 regulations and protocols. Operate in accordance with the site’s Repair Station and Quality Control Manual and other applicable regulations.
  • Execute supplementary shop and maintenance tasks as necessary.
  • Establish customer rapport through effective communication and an understanding of client needs.
  • Assume responsibility for and ensure completion of all work tasks and projects.
Qualifications / Requirements:
  • High School diploma or GED is required.
  • Federal Airframe and Power Plant Mechanic (A&P) license is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 6 months of experience in servicing large commercial engines is essential.
  • Willingness and ability to travel on short notice to various air locations for large commercial engines as needed.
  • Flexibility to work any assigned shift is required.
Desired Skills / Experience:
  • Approach tasks with a proactive attitude and a commitment to team and customer goals.
  • Previous co-op or internship experience within GE On Wing Support is advantageous.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.
  • A keen interest in learning and adapting to technological advancements.
  • Experience with LEAP, GE90, CFM, CF6, CF34, and GENX engines.
  • Experience in line maintenance, engine replacements, module removals & installations, or LRU removals and installations.
  • Proven skills in quality assurance, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
  • NDT Level II experience in Ultrasonic, Eddy Current, and Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection is a plus.
