Key Responsibilities

The Aviation Maintenance Operations Supervisor is tasked with the comprehensive oversight of the maintenance, repair, and airworthiness of our aviation fleet. This position is crucial in ensuring that all maintenance procedures align with federal regulations and company policies while upholding the highest safety and operational standards.

Primary Duties Include:

  • Maintenance Oversight:
    • Coordinate and manage all maintenance operations for the aviation fleet.
    • Establish and execute maintenance schedules to guarantee timely inspections and repairs.
    • Assess and enhance the performance of maintenance activities to ensure optimal efficiency.
  • Regulatory Compliance and Safety:
    • Ensure adherence to FAA regulations and internal policies during all maintenance tasks.
    • Maintain comprehensive records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
    • Conduct regular safety evaluations and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Supervise maintenance staff, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.
    • Provide mentorship and support to technicians, ensuring compliance with operational standards.
    • Promote a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Resource Management:
    • Oversee the acquisition and management of maintenance supplies and equipment.
    • Ensure adequate inventory levels to support maintenance operations.
    • Collaborate with suppliers to procure high-quality parts and services.
  • Financial Oversight:
    • Develop and manage the maintenance budget, ensuring efficient resource utilization.
    • Monitor spending and provide financial updates to senior leadership.
    • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and operational improvements.
  • Technical Problem Solving:
    • Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to aircraft maintenance.
    • Offer technical guidance to address complex maintenance challenges.
    • Implement corrective measures to enhance maintenance processes.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 15 years in aircraft and power plant maintenance, including at least 5 years in a supervisory role responsible for airworthiness decisions.
  • Possession of a valid FAA certificate with both airframe and power plant ratings, including Inspection Authorization.
  • Recent experience in a similar role within the last year, with a solid understanding of FAA regulations, particularly parts 91 and 145.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Security Clearance.
  • This is a full-time position requiring on-site presence.
