As an Aviation Engine Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of aircraft engines, modules, components, and accessories, ensuring adherence to established company standards, contractual obligations, and regulatory airworthiness requirements. You will utilize your mechanical skills and extensive product knowledge to perform technical troubleshooting. Cross-training in complementary skills will be available as needed to meet production demands.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Dismantle and assemble complete engines, modules, components, and assemblies in compliance with all customer, regulatory, and company standards using hand or power tools.
  • Diagnose issues and make adjustments and repairs to products according to specifications and established procedures.
  • Interpret technical standards, drawings, specifications, and other relevant documentation using precision measuring tools and instruments; verify parts' conformance to manuals and blueprints.
  • Utilize machines, tools, jigs, fixtures, gauges, plant equipment, and consumables necessary for task completion.
  • Ensure serviceability, completeness of documentation, and compatibility with applicable standards.
  • Maintain detailed records and reports of repairs and certifications performed.
  • Guarantee that only airworthy equipment is available for the safe and timely completion of customer engines, modules, components, and assemblies.
  • Engage in continuous improvement of cell processes.
  • Adhere to all applicable safety regulations and promptly report any unsafe practices or conditions.
Qualifications:
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and interpret schematics, graphs, blueprints, and other technical information.
  • Capability to lift up to 25 pounds (with assistance) for approximately 25% of the workday.
  • Regularly required to stand for extended periods.
  • High level of mechanical aptitude, accuracy, and precision.
  • Proficient in the proper use of precision measuring equipment.
  • Ability to follow and understand related company instructions, processes, overhaul manuals, and original equipment manufacturer's manuals.
  • Specialized training or experience in engineering or aircraft maintenance (AME, A&P, AMT); or equivalent (preferred).
  • Experience as an aircraft mechanic in an aerospace setting.
  • Willingness to work day or second shifts as required.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • FAA Powerplant certification is advantageous.
Mechanic I:
  • Basic understanding of engines/components.
  • Prior experience with routine induction/dismantling of engines/components.
  • Minimal experience required.
Mechanic II:
  • Thorough understanding of inspection of complex parts, with the ability to provide guidance as needed.
  • Ability to read and understand technical manuals.
  • Minimum of 2 years of job-related training/experience.
Mechanic III:
  • Skilled in induction and dismantling of engines/components.
  • Advanced understanding of manuals and technical data.
  • Thorough knowledge, capable of interpreting instructions and serving as a resource for other mechanics.
  • Signs off on other mechanics' skills once proficient.
  • Preferred apprenticeship or formal training in specialty areas.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of aviation maintenance experience.
Mechanic IV:
  • Provides guidance to other mechanics during troubleshooting in assembly, inspection, and dismantling processes.
  • Inspects unique parts.
  • In-depth knowledge of processes, manuals, and aviation regulations.
  • Preferred apprenticeship or formal training in specialty areas or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 6 years of aviation maintenance experience.
