Position Summary

The Aircraft Ground Support Specialist (AGSS) is responsible for delivering exceptional service to transient aircraft, ensuring the needs of jet owners, guests, and crews are met with professionalism and efficiency.

While the primary responsibilities include technical services such as fueling, towing, and basic cleaning of aircraft, outstanding customer service skills are essential for success in this role.


Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all aircraft and ramp coordination during assigned shifts.
  • Delegate tasks to qualified personnel, monitor progress, and evaluate outcomes.
  • Assist in training new employees alongside the Line Manager and Line Technician Trainer.
  • Ensure adherence to safety policies and procedures, managing team members in the absence of the Manager or Supervisor.
  • Maintain accurate shift reports and related documentation.

Essential Functions

The AGSS is expected to:

  • Promote a positive image of Modern Aviation to all stakeholders.
  • Ensure safe operations, protecting customers, staff, and equipment.
  • Provide professional assistance to passengers and flight crews.
  • Exceed customer expectations through our Seven Star Service approach.
  • Handle the movement, placement, storage, de-icing, and fueling of aircraft.
  • Operate various types of ground support equipment.
  • Maintain awareness of ramp conditions and respond to potential hazards.
  • Perform tasks with minimal supervision and make quick decisions in line with company policies.
  • Fulfill additional duties as assigned by the shift lead or Line Manager.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional mathematical abilities.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Physically capable of standing or walking for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior customer service experience.
  • Basic knowledge of various aircraft types and servicing.

Work Environment

Employees in this role may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, extreme weather conditions, and loud noise levels. Physical requirements include frequent walking, sitting, bending, and lifting up to 75 pounds.
