Overview

The Aviation Compliance Officer plays a crucial role in ensuring adherence to aviation safety regulations and standards. This position involves conducting inspections and monitoring operations within the aviation sector, specifically focusing on air carriers and operators.

Responsibilities

Operational Oversight
  • Manage a segment of the geographic operations program, ensuring that all operators are adequately organized, staffed, and equipped.
  • Conduct regular visits to operational sites to maintain relationships with management and address any operational deficiencies.
  • Implement enforcement actions and prepare comprehensive reports on findings and recommendations.
  • Investigate public complaints and incidents, providing technical support to legal teams as necessary.
Regulatory Review
  • Assess manuals for compliance with aviation regulations and recommend necessary amendments.
  • Evaluate operational practices and suggest improvements to enhance safety and compliance.
  • Conduct periodic inspections and reviews to ensure adherence to maintenance standards.
Monitoring and Evaluation
  • Oversee all phases of maintenance and avionics operations, ensuring compliance with established protocols.
  • Inspect maintenance facilities and practices to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements.
  • Engage with aviation management to resolve operational issues and improve service quality.
Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications

  • Must meet medical and physical requirements for the position.
General Requirements

Essential Qualifications:
  1. No more than two incidents of regulatory violations in the past five years.
  2. Possession of a valid state driver's license.
  3. Fluency in English.
  4. No substance abuse issues affecting job performance.
  5. High School diploma or equivalent.
Medical Standards:

Applicants must be physically capable of performing the duties associated with the Aviation Compliance Officer role.

Specialized Experience:

Applicants should have experience in aviation maintenance, regulatory compliance, or related fields.

Education

Education is not a substitute for the required experience.

Additional Information

This position may be subject to a background investigation and may require a probationary period.
