As a Front Desk Receptionist, you will play a vital role in our organization, ensuring a welcoming environment for clients and visitors.

JOB SUMMARY:

As a Front Desk Receptionist, your primary responsibility will be overseeing the daily operations of the reception area.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Greet clients as they arrive at the center or contact us via phone, providing information about our services, payment options, and billing procedures.
  • Schedule appointments and direct walk-in clients according to established protocols.
  • Manage incoming calls and route them to the appropriate staff members.
  • Register clients according to our registration procedures and collect necessary documentation.
  • Prepare required documents for each client and ensure all paperwork is completed accurately.
  • Verify client insurance coverage and calculate any charges due.
  • Collect deposits or copays prior to the client's appointment as per established guidelines.
  • Inform clients of their outstanding balances, collect payments, and issue receipts.
  • Collaborate with providers and medical staff to ensure efficient patient flow and minimize wait times.
  • Remind clients of their upcoming appointments.
  • Follow up with clients who miss their appointments.
  • Communicate any client issues or complaints to the clinic manager or designated personnel.
  • Maintain strong sensory skills, including visual acuity and good hearing.
  • Ability to stand, sit, and move throughout the workday.
  • Work closely with clinic managers to follow up with clients who did not attend their appointments.
  • Exhibit excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in computer usage and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with community-based organizations is a plus.
  • Embrace and promote the mission of DNA Comprehensive Therapy.
  • Bilingual candidates, particularly fluent in Spanish, are preferred.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Friendly demeanor with a passion for working with the public.
  • Ability to treat all clients with kindness and respect, even in challenging situations.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Adaptability to a fast-paced office environment.
  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 15 lbs.
  • Attention to detail in focused work.
  • Proficient in operating office equipment, including computers and phones, with a typing speed of at least 35 wpm.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for engaging with clients in person and through various communication channels.
  • Understanding of medical terminology and triage procedures.
  • Ability to relate to clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Commitment to providing dignified healthcare for all.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Formal training from a vocational school may be considered.
  • At least one year of experience in a medical or similar setting.
