Job Summary and Qualifications

Role Description: The Medical Office Specialist serves as the primary contact for patients seeking to schedule appointments with our healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage incoming calls related to patient scheduling and inquiries.
  • Conduct intake assessments as necessary.
  • Evaluate scheduling requirements based on patient needs and other factors.
  • Utilize the EHR system to schedule appointments.
  • Process medical records requests as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of referral information.
  • Document phone interactions promptly and accurately.
  • Ensure consistent attendance to provide excellent customer service.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; college education preferred.
  • Experience in a high-volume medical office setting is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with patient intake processes is preferred.
  • Strong time management skills and self-motivation.
  • Excellent communication abilities with a track record of fostering positive relationships.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of insurance coverage and claims processes is a plus.
