Job Summary and QualificationsRole Description: The Medical Office Specialist serves as the primary contact for patients seeking to schedule appointments with our healthcare providers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage incoming calls related to patient scheduling and inquiries.
- Conduct intake assessments as necessary.
- Evaluate scheduling requirements based on patient needs and other factors.
- Utilize the EHR system to schedule appointments.
- Process medical records requests as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of referral information.
- Document phone interactions promptly and accurately.
- Ensure consistent attendance to provide excellent customer service.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; college education preferred.
- Experience in a high-volume medical office setting is advantageous.
- Familiarity with patient intake processes is preferred.
- Strong time management skills and self-motivation.
- Excellent communication abilities with a track record of fostering positive relationships.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Knowledge of insurance coverage and claims processes is a plus.
