STS Technical Services is seeking Aircraft Maintenance Managers for an exciting opportunity.

Position Overview:

The role involves overseeing all facets of line maintenance at designated station(s).


Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead Technical Representatives and/or Line Maintenance Supervisors as assigned.
  • Manage personnel schedules to ensure sufficient staffing for aircraft maintenance operations.
  • Guarantee the safe and effective maintenance of company aircraft in compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
  • Oversee and coordinate contract line maintenance in assigned areas.
  • Ensure that all personnel under supervision are adequately trained and qualified per GMM policies.
  • Track training, qualifications, and proficiency levels of maintenance staff at assigned locations.
  • Monitor flight schedules and fleet status to optimize resource utilization and aircraft routing.
  • Collaborate with various departments including MCC, Workload Planning, Materials, Quality Control, and A/C Planning for line maintenance needs.
  • Maintain oversight of line maintenance activities at assigned locations.
  • Provide technical support during major mechanical issues or AOG situations.
  • Enhance efficiency and reliability by identifying recurring issues and suggesting procedural improvements.
  • Coordinate the prompt repair of deferred maintenance items for aircraft at assigned locations.
  • Ensure proper shift turnover and adherence to work interruption protocols to complete maintenance before aircraft return to service.
  • Oversee the timely submission of accurate aircraft maintenance log pages to headquarters.
  • Coordinate with MCC for updates on maintenance and aircraft status.
  • Monitor mechanical issues, aircraft performance, and participate in Repeat Item and Oil Watch Programs.
  • Develop corrective action plans for mechanical issues in collaboration with MCC.
  • Maintain communication with the Regional Manager to ensure cost-effective operations.
  • Ensure prompt entry of log discrepancies and parts changes in TRAX.
  • Ensure that personnel at assigned locations are proficient in using the TRAX system.
  • Monitor spare engine status and engine change kits at line stations.
  • Maintain communication with Ground and Flight Operations to ensure safe operations.
  • Enforce safety protocols as outlined in company manuals and industry standards.
  • Perform duties at field locations as required.
  • Travel on company aircraft as necessary to support operations globally.
  • Conduct self-audits of assigned locations as needed.
  • Manage budgets for assigned station(s).
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required.

Qualifications:
  • Must possess a valid FAA Mechanic Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant ratings.
  • At least 7 years of experience in aircraft maintenance.
  • A minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role.
  • Must maintain qualifications and authorization for Airworthiness Release.
  • Experience with 747/767 or equivalent wide-body aircraft is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for business purposes.
