Key Responsibilities:

As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will oversee and coordinate the activities of personnel engaged in the repair, upkeep, and installation of machinery, tools, and equipment within an underground salt mining facility. You will directly supervise a team of 8 to 15 employees in the Maintenance Department, executing supervisory duties in alignment with organizational policies and relevant regulations. Your responsibilities will encompass:

  • Leading the maintenance crew
  • Evaluating ongoing maintenance tasks and job orders to establish work priorities
  • Directing maintenance operations and delegating tasks to the team
  • Ensuring adherence to safe working conditions and procedures
  • Communicating equipment and job order updates to relevant stakeholders
  • Providing technical guidance and directing mechanics to appropriate resources
  • Performing additional related duties as necessary

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

  • Technical training in mechanical maintenance
  • A minimum of eight years of maintenance experience, with at least five years in a supervisory capacity, specifically in maintaining heavy diesel equipment and conveyor systems
  • Experience in underground mining is preferred
  • Experience with shaft maintenance will be considered advantageous

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands for this position include frequent use of hands for handling and manipulating equipment, occasional standing, walking, sitting, climbing, and lifting. Candidates must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
