Position Overview:

The role entails the comprehensive management of line maintenance activities at designated locations.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and mentor Technical Representatives and Line Maintenance Supervisors as required.
  • Organize personnel schedules to ensure optimal staffing for maintenance operations.
  • Guarantee the safe and effective upkeep of company aircraft in compliance with corporate policies and regulatory standards.
  • Oversee and coordinate contract line maintenance services as assigned.
  • Ensure all personnel are adequately trained and qualified per GMM policies.
  • Assess training and proficiency levels of maintenance staff at assigned locations.
  • Monitor flight schedules and fleet conditions to maximize resource utilization.
  • Collaborate with various departments including MCC, Workload Planning, and Quality Control for maintenance coordination.
  • Maintain oversight of line maintenance activities at assigned locations.
  • Provide technical support during significant mechanical issues or AOG scenarios.
  • Enhance operational efficiency by identifying recurring issues and suggesting procedural improvements.
  • Manage the timely resolution of deferred maintenance tasks for aircraft at assigned locations.
  • Ensure adherence to shift turnover protocols to complete ongoing maintenance before aircraft return to service.
  • Facilitate the accurate and prompt submission of aircraft maintenance logs to headquarters.
  • Coordinate with MCC for updates on maintenance and aircraft status.
  • Monitor mechanical issues and performance metrics, including Repeat Item and Oil Watch Programs.
  • Develop corrective action strategies for mechanical challenges in collaboration with MCC.
  • Maintain communication with the Regional Manager to ensure cost-effective practices.
  • Ensure timely logging of discrepancies and parts changes in the TRAX system.
  • Ensure staff are proficient in utilizing the TRAX system.
  • Oversee the status of spare engines and engine change kits at line stations.
  • Collaborate with Ground and Flight Operations to uphold safety and reliability.
  • Enforce safety protocols as outlined in company manuals and industry standards.
  • Execute responsibilities at field locations as necessary.
  • Participate in flights on company aircraft as required to support operations globally.
  • Conduct self-assessments of assigned locations as needed.
  • Develop and manage budgets for assigned locations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Must possess a valid FAA Mechanic Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant ratings.
  • At least 7 years of experience in aircraft maintenance.
  • A minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role.
  • Must maintain qualifications and authorization for Airworthiness Release.
  • Experience with 747/767 or similar wide-body aircraft is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for business purposes.
