STS Technical Services is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Aircraft Maintenance Managers.

Position Overview:

The Aircraft Maintenance Manager is tasked with overseeing all facets of line maintenance at designated locations.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Directs Technical Representatives and/or Line Maintenance Supervisors as designated.
  • Organizes personnel schedules to ensure sufficient staffing for aircraft maintenance operations.
  • Guarantees the safe and effective maintenance of company aircraft in compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards.
  • Responsible for managing and supervising contract line maintenance within assigned areas.
  • Ensures that all personnel under supervision are adequately trained and qualified per company guidelines.
  • Evaluates the training and proficiency levels of maintenance staff at assigned locations.
  • Monitors flight schedules and fleet conditions to optimize resource utilization and aircraft routing.
  • Collaborates with various departments including MCC, Workload Planning, Materials, Quality Control, and A/C Planning to meet line maintenance needs.
  • Maintains oversight of line maintenance activities at assigned locations.
  • Provides technical support and resources during significant mechanical issues or AOG situations.
  • Enhances operational efficiency by identifying recurring issues and suggesting procedural improvements.
  • Coordinates the prompt repair of deferred maintenance tasks for aircraft in transit.
  • Ensures adherence to shift turnover protocols to complete any outstanding maintenance before aircraft return to service.
  • Responsible for the accurate and timely submission of aircraft maintenance log entries to headquarters.
  • Works closely with MCC to relay maintenance and aircraft status updates.
  • Monitors mechanical issues, aircraft performance, and relevant maintenance programs.
  • Develops corrective action strategies for mechanical concerns and deferred maintenance in conjunction with MCC.
  • Maintains communication with the Regional Manager to ensure cost-effective operations.
  • Ensures prompt logging of discrepancies and parts modifications in the TRAX system.
  • Ensures that staff at assigned locations are proficient in utilizing the TRAX system.
  • Oversees the status of spare engines and engine change kits at line stations.
  • Coordinates with Ground and Flight Operations to guarantee safe and reliable operations.
  • Implements safety protocols as outlined in company manuals and industry standards.
  • May perform duties at field locations away from the primary base as required.
  • May travel on company aircraft as necessary to support global operations.
  • Conducts self-assessments of assigned locations as needed.
  • Manages budgets for assigned locations.
  • Undertakes additional responsibilities as required.

Qualifications:
  • Must possess a valid FAA Mechanic Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant ratings.
  • At least 7 years of experience in aircraft maintenance.
  • A minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role.
  • Must maintain qualifications and authorizations for Airworthiness Release.
  • Experience with 747/767 or similar wide-body aircraft is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for business purposes.
