Job Overview

The Maintenance Coordinator is accountable for the strategic planning and execution of maintenance activities within a Combined Cycle Power Plant. This role encompasses preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance, as well as oversight of special projects. The Coordinator will manage the maintenance schedule for two Combustion Turbine/Generators, two Heat Recovery Steam Generators, and a Steam Turbine/Generator, along with all related auxiliary systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct site inspections to identify safety hazards and potential issues, ensuring accurate understanding of work requirements prior to planning.
  • Estimate the necessary craft groups and duration for maintenance tasks.
  • Determine required materials, manage inventory, and ensure timely availability of resources.
  • Prepare and coordinate all necessary labor, materials, tools, and equipment prior to scheduled work.
  • Maintain and monitor craft/crew backlogs to ensure efficient scheduling of maintenance activities.
  • Track weekly labor capacity and adjust schedules accordingly to account for absences and overtime.
  • Generate weekly and long-term maintenance schedules for operational supervisors.
  • Utilize a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to track work orders, ensuring all relevant data is accurately recorded.
  • Collaborate with management and operational teams to address planning and scheduling challenges, providing performance reports as needed.

Qualifications:

Education: A Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or a related engineering technology field is preferred.

Experience: A minimum of eight years of experience in outage maintenance and management within a commercial electric power generation environment is desired. Proficiency in using a CMMS, particularly Maximo, is preferred.

Equivalent Experience: Candidates with a two-year technical degree and ten years of relevant maintenance and management experience, or twelve years of directly related experience, may be considered.

Additional Information:

This position may require unusual hours, as the plant operates continuously. The incumbent may be on-call for incidents affecting plant operations and may need to remain on-site during significant maintenance activities.

Travel Requirements: Up to 30% travel may be necessary.
