Position Overview:

The following responsibilities are typical for this role. These are not to be interpreted as exclusive or exhaustive. Additional tasks may be required and assigned.

Program Management: Oversee the environmental services program for the facility.

Team Leadership: Directly supervise environmental services staff: recruit, mentor employees, allocate tasks, facilitate training for team members, and when necessary, manage termination processes in accordance with HR guidelines.

Engagement: Participate in the Pathways of Purpose philosophy, demonstrating knowledge of the program and engaging functionally during work hours.

Electrical Maintenance: Conduct electrical tasks such as repairing and replacing switches, outlets, lighting fixtures, and motors.

Plumbing Services: Execute plumbing installations and repairs, including fixing leaks, installing new lines and fixtures, setting up water heaters and toilets, repairing pipes, replacing valves, clearing drains, and fitting filters.

Building Maintenance: Monitor and repair flooring and roofing, ensuring roofs are clear of debris and excess materials.

Carpentry Work: Perform minor carpentry tasks as needed.

Work Environment: Maintain workspaces in a clean and organized manner to support effective and safe operations.

Tool Utilization: Employ a diverse range of tools including carpentry, electrical, mechanical, masonry, and plumbing tools.

Painting Tasks: May be assigned painting duties as required.

Training and Development: Attend in-service training workshops and meetings as necessary.

Safety Compliance: Conduct work activities safely and in alignment with the facility's safety protocols.

Customer Service: Provide effective and courteous service to all residents, guests, and colleagues.

Resident Advocacy: Promote and safeguard the rights of all residents.

Organizational Knowledge: Understand and embody the vision, purpose, values, and goals of Greenridge Place.

Additional Duties: Perform other related essential tasks as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma and one to two years of experience in a related field, or any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the necessary skills, knowledge, and abilities. Supervisory experience is highly preferred.

Criminal record clearance or exemption as mandated by law.

Health evaluation to confirm ability to perform job duties and absence of communicable diseases, including tuberculosis and CXR clearance.

Possess or be able to obtain a valid driver's license with a clean driving record, free of restrictions or limitations.

Knowledge Requirements:

Understanding of principles, techniques, and methods for maintaining and repairing plumbing systems.

Familiarity with principles, techniques, and methods for maintaining and repairing electrical systems.

Knowledge of methods and techniques for paint application, and safe operation of various machinery, tools, and equipment used in daily tasks.

Skills and Abilities:

Ability to coordinate hand and finger movements in performing skilled and semi-skilled tasks, such as using cordless drills and various tools.

Ability to exert considerable force occasionally and/or significant force frequently, and/or negligible force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.

Ability to exert physical effort in medium to heavy work involving walking, standing, sitting, and/or driving.

Ability to differentiate colors and shades.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and calculations involving decimals, ratios, percentages, and fractions.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to perform semi-repetitive tasks, such as machine monitoring.

Ability to apply principles of rational systems, such as mechanical repair.

Communication Skills:

Ability to comprehend and accurately utilize various informational documents, including electrical diagrams and blueprints.

Ability to communicate effectively with employees, administrators, and residents.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including cold, hot, or wet environments.

Ability to handle toxic agents.

Ability to work in dusty or noisy settings.

Job Type: Full-time

Compensation: Starting from $54,000.00 annually
