About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Manager to join our team at Sysco - Buckhead Meat of Denver. As a key member of our facilities operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of our production equipment, process utilities, and facility grounds.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Lead a team of maintenance associates and operations staff to ensure the reliability and efficiency of our equipment and facilities.
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and increase productivity.
  • Maintenance and Repair
    • Oversee the maintenance and repair of production equipment, process utilities, and facility grounds.
    • Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize equipment failures and downtime.
  • Project Management
    • Lead and manage capital projects from initiation to completion, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.
  • Compliance and Safety
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, including OSHA, NFPA, and local regulations.
    • Develop and implement safety protocols to minimize risk and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Communicate effectively with operations staff, maintenance associates, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless collaboration and information sharing.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, contractors, and other external partners to ensure timely and cost-effective maintenance and repair services.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in engineering, technical field, or related discipline.
  • Experience
    • Seven (7) plus years of experience in maintenance management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
    • Proven track record of improving equipment reliability, reducing downtime, and increasing productivity.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in developing and implementing maintenance strategies.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
    • Proficient in maintenance management software and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
