For those based in the greater Bay Area, you will join us in our office for the in-person segment of our hybrid work week. Every Tuesday morning, we gather for our all-company meeting, where nearly 200 colleagues engage in discussions about the week ahead and share personal stories and updates.


As a dynamic, hybrid workplace, we expect all employees living within 100 miles of our offices to be present on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. This structure promotes in-person collaboration for innovation, respectful challenges, and culture-building.


The expected salary range for this position is $80k to $90k, which may vary based on relevant experience, qualifications, and internal equity.

The Role You Are Considering...

The Senior Revenue Accounting SBU Analyst is part of a four-member team reporting to one of three SBU Managers in Revenue Accounting. This role is responsible for overseeing the Order to Cash (O2C) process for a designated portfolio of customers within a Sales Strategic Business Unit (SBU). The Senior Analyst manages comprehensive customer interactions, including (1) Accounts Receivable collections, (2) Trade Promotion and Supply Chain deduction resolution, (3) coordination of business process outsourcing (BPO) to Brokers, and (4) net revenue analysis. The Senior Analyst delivers thorough customer-level analyses and insights that support both Sales and Finance teams.

As a senior member of the team, you will serve as the primary backup for the SBU Manager, exemplifying excellent performance and embodying our company values while mentoring peers and fostering a positive team atmosphere.


Your Role Will Involve:

BILLING, CREDIT, & COLLECTIONS:
15% of your time

Maintaining an open sales invoice balance at $0 beyond 60 days past terms.


Collaborating cross-functionally to prevent and resolve payment delays related to EDI billing, deduction timing, and product deliveries.

Escalating roadblocks to Sales and management to ensure timely resolution and payment.

Reviewing open customer orders to authorize daily shipments based on credit standing.

Providing guidance to junior analysts on decision-making impacting A/R balances and risk.

TRADE & DEDUCTIONS:
35% of your time

Researching and resolving customer deductions related to trade promotions and supply chain claims.

Maintaining an open deduction balance and ensuring accurate coding for P&L expensing. Analyzing customer P&L charges to identify trends and adherence to company policies and budgets.


Offering insights and recommendations to Sales Planning and Finance teams.



BUSINESS PROCESS OUTSOURCING (BPO):
10% of your time

Coordinating administrative tasks outsourced to the Broker's BPO division.

Delegating deduction coding and resolution tasks to the BPO team and tracking their progress to meet KPIs.

SALES & FINANCE REVIEWS & COMMUNICATION:
20% of your time

Serving as the primary resource for trade-spend expertise and insights.

Presenting monthly results to Sales executives, including customer open AR agings and P&Ls.

CLOSE:
5% of your time

Participating in the fast-paced Accounting close cycle.

Analyzing AR aging for your customer portfolio and highlighting actionable issues for collaboration with Sales.

TEAM PROJECTS:
15% of your time

Leading and championing Revenue Accounting team projects.

Qualifications:

Education:
BA/BS degree or equivalent business experience required.

2+ years of experience in accounts receivable and/or CPG trade promotions, preferably in the food and beverage sector.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial analysis.

Experience with major ERPs and trade promotion management systems is a plus.

Advanced Excel skills are essential.
