In this capacity, you will collaborate with the global revenue management team, engage with various business units on initiatives, and contribute to transformative projects aimed at achieving top-tier outcomes.
Reporting Structure
This role reports to the Senior Manager of Revenue Accounting and will be integral to the team responsible for overseeing the global procedure for customer program rebate reserves at Western Digital. You will manage the calculation, posting, and analysis of customer program rebate reserve accruals within the Western Digital subsidiary.
Collaboration and Support
The individual in this role will assist the revenue team with numerous harmonization initiatives and work closely with the Revenue Accounting and Reporting teams, as well as business partners from BU Finance, Claims Settlement, and IT departments.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Execute month-end journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
2. Deliver monthly and quarterly close tasks, including the calculation and validation of program reserves.
3. Analyze monthly and quarterly earned rebate results for accuracy and completeness, effectively communicating findings to business partners.
4. Conduct review meetings with BU Finance stakeholders regarding accrual outcomes.
5. Continuously review processes and implement enhancements.
6. Collaborate with IT and other stakeholders to modify and implement functional improvements to system reports and processes.
7. Prepare SOX controls and manage internal and external PBC requests.
8. Assist with system implementation projects as required.
