Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Executive Sous Chef to join our team at Gecko Hospitality. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the kitchen and ensuring the highest level of quality in our corporate dining experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Culinary Leadership: Collaborate with the Executive Chef to create innovative and mouthwatering menus that meet the needs of our corporate clients.
  • Operational Management: Plan, organize, and supervise daily culinary operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety.
  • Team Development: Mentor and develop sous chefs and kitchen staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Financial Management: Manage food and labor costs to maintain a budget-friendly and efficient kitchen.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all local, state, and federal food safety regulations.

Requirements for Success:

  • Culinary Experience: A minimum of 5 years' experience as a Sous Chef, preferably in a corporate dining or upscale catering setting.
  • Culinary Education: Culinary school degree or equivalent experience.
  • Analytical and Technical Skills: Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Communication Skills: Clear and effective communication skills.
  • Culinary Knowledge: Knowledge of various cuisines, dietary restrictions, and food preparation techniques.
  • Availability: Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
