Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Executive Pastry Chef to join our team at Compass Group, North America. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily production of high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the daily production and distribution of all pastries, desserts, and baked goods to ensure high-quality products are delivered to our customers.
  • Develop and implement seasonal menus that meet the needs of our clients and align with our company's culinary standards.
  • Monitor and control food costs, inventory levels, and maintenance of the pastry kitchen and equipment to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Supervise and train hourly kitchen/pastry associates, including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, and performance evaluations.
  • Collaborate with our culinary team to develop and implement new recipes and menu items that meet our company's culinary standards.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience as a pastry chef or in a related role.
  • Proven track record of success in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
