Position Overview:
The Banquet Chef is a pivotal position within our culinary team, requiring a unique combination of culinary skills, leadership capabilities, and strategic insight.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage Banquet Operations: Supervise daily activities of the banquet culinary team, ensuring operational efficiency and adherence to high-quality standards.
  • Menu and Recipe Development: Create and refine banquet menus and recipes, including developing recipe cards and establishing portion control guidelines.
  • Cost Control: Oversee food and labor costs, ensuring compliance with budgetary constraints through regular inventory assessments.
  • Team Training and Leadership: Mentor and manage the banquet culinary staff, facilitating monthly team meetings and participating in performance evaluations.
  • Strategic Business Leadership: Align departmental initiatives with organizational objectives, fostering a culture of high performance.
  • Maintain Kitchen Standards: Ensure the banquet kitchen is clean and organized through regular inspections.
  • Client Relations: Cultivate and sustain relationships with clients and industry professionals, enhancing the establishment's reputation.
  • Support the Executive Chef: Assist the Executive Chef with various responsibilities, including monitoring food costs and conducting monthly inventory checks.

Qualifications:
  • Culinary Education: A degree or equivalent experience in the hospitality or restaurant sector is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years in a comparable role, preferably within luxury brands.
  • Food Safety Certification: Must possess or obtain a Food Safety Manager Certification within 30 days of employment.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, mentor, and inspire a diverse culinary team.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, adept at managing high-pressure situations and prioritizing tasks.
