Position Overview

This role is responsible for overseeing teams that deliver administrative and project assistance. The supervisor ensures that support teams enhance service levels for both internal and external clients. Collaborating with leaders in Gas Operations, the supervisor assesses current and future needs for support services. The position focuses on the continuous evolution and improvement of tools, processes, and systems related to Support Services to maximize efficiency and effectiveness. Additionally, the supervisor works with Support Services Supervisors to manage the daily operations and administration of support personnel.

This position operates in a hybrid model, allowing work from a remote office as well as an assigned work location based on business requirements.

The salary range provided reflects the company's good faith estimate for this position at the time of posting. This range is specific to the job's locality, and actual compensation will be determined based on various factors including skills, education, certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. While it is anticipated that the successful candidate will be positioned towards the midpoint or entry point of the range, final decisions will be made on an individual basis.

A reasonable salary range is as follows:

Bay Area Minimum: $98,000

Bay Area Maximum: $146,000

Key Responsibilities

The supervisor may perform some or all of the following duties:

  • Fosters a safety-first culture and work environment.
  • Oversees daily operations of the workgroup in alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Manages multiple assignments, often complex or with competing priorities, ensuring timely and accurate work products. Leads team efforts to meet deadlines and implement effective solutions.
  • Ensures adequate office staffing, coordinates training for new and relief staff, and tracks training programs specific to classifications.
  • Collaborates with team members to identify and address work process improvements, ensuring compliance with company policies and standards. Assists in the coordination and implementation of new tools and procedures to enhance productivity.
  • Builds strong relationships with internal and external customers and business partners to facilitate operations and service support.
  • Prepares and disseminates monthly and quarterly departmental reports, ensuring the security and proper handling of confidential documents.
  • Monitors departmental budgets, expenses, and variances for the assigned location, communicating overall performance through various metrics.
  • May oversee office equipment inventory management.
  • Works with department peers to ensure appropriate assignment of work priorities and that support functions meet expectations.
  • Supervises a team of primarily nonexempt administrative and clerical staff.
  • Drives performance and results through effective recruitment, training, performance management, and recognition of staff.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Five years of administrative or related experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Two years of leadership experience.
  • One year of administrative experience.
