Are you passionate about fostering diversity and supporting families? The Bernal Heights Neighborhood Center (BHNC) is seeking a Service Connection Supervisor to oversee program operations and ensure high-quality services for families in the San Francisco area.

Position Overview

In collaboration with the Service Connection Manager, the Service Connection Supervisor is crucial in driving program effectiveness at designated housing sites. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, professionalism, and the capacity to guide a diverse team while upholding professional boundaries.

Founded in 1978, BHNC is a non-profit organization committed to maintaining the cultural and economic diversity of the Bernal Heights community and its surroundings. We strive to create an equitable environment for all, particularly for individuals with low to moderate incomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise program activities and staff to achieve program objectives
  • Develop operational procedures and service plans utilizing Salesforce and Asana
  • Ensure adherence to program standards by reviewing client documentation and databases
  • Assist in financial planning and program development
  • Mentor and train team members while maintaining a professional atmosphere
  • Create inclusive community engagement activities
  • Implement trauma-informed care practices
  • Collaborate with local organizations to enhance service delivery
  • Collect and manage statistical data for program evaluation
  • Facilitate client meetings and case assessments
  • Build rapport with residents and address emerging community needs
  • Support housing stability and eviction prevention efforts
  • Manage mandated reporting and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Attend relevant agency and program meetings as necessary
  • Possess a valid California driver's license
Preferred Qualifications
  • At least 3 years of supervisory experience in social services
  • Background in case management for adults, seniors, or families
  • Ability to implement culturally sensitive programs
  • Familiarity with low-income community dynamics
  • Enthusiastic about leadership development and community involvement
  • Proficient in MS Office, Gmail Suite, Asana, and Zoom
  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or a related discipline
Physical Requirements

This full-time position involves a combination of office duties and physical activities, including occasional lifting and walking. Daily tasks may include sitting, typing, and moving around as required.
