Clinical Supervisor Job Description

**Job Summary:**

Care Partners is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Supervisor to oversee the delivery of clinical services in our Acute Intensive Services Program and Crisis Stabilization Unit. The successful candidate will provide administrative oversight, supervise clinicians, and ensure the proper delivery of clinical services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative oversight to residential Acute Services Programs and Crisis Stabilization Unit.
  • Directly supervise clinicians to ensure the proper delivery of clinical services, including weekly individual supervision and weekly clinical consultation group.
  • Be available by phone throughout the day for clinical consultation calls from supervisees and staff.
  • Oversee the delivery and quality of individual, family, and group therapy clinical services within the milieu, including case assignments.
  • Participate in the Acute Services Intake process, including attendance of weekly intake review meetings, coordination with the intake department and other programs for referral review, and other support as needed.
  • Lead the utilization management process to ensure that clients within the Acute Services Programs and Crisis Stabilization Unit meet medical necessity for their current level of care.
  • Collaborate and maintain relationships with outside partners and agencies around clinical issues, such as authorizations, discharge recommendations, care coordination, and obtaining trainings.
  • Ensure effective communication between all members of a child's care team, including attending CFT and other meetings as needed.
  • Work closely with Quality Assurance (QA) to ensure excellent documentation standards.
  • Oversee and approve mental health clinical documentation from clinicians within established timelines and meeting all guidelines.
  • Ensure Community Care Licensing (CCL) standards are being met by overseeing employee guidelines as well as clinical documentation.
  • Interview and hire Acute Services and Crisis Stabilization clinical staff and address staffing issues as they arise.
  • Manage supervisee PTO and clinical coverage.
  • Work in collaboration with the Clinical Director of Acute Intensive Services, other Edgewood programs, and staff around program development and program implementation.
  • Attend weekly Staff meetings to collaborate with Milieu Managers in order to ensure consistent care of clients in the milieu.
  • Lead the insurance appeal process when indicated, in collaboration with the Behavioral Health Director and/or Medical Director.
  • Provide safe, effective, efficient, culturally competent, and client-centered implementation of direct care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and standards of care.
  • Participate in campus on-call rotation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • This person must possess a license in the field of mental health (a master's or doctoral degree plus an MFT, LCSW, Ph.D.).
  • Minimum 2 years post-licensure.
  • Must have completed BBS Supervisory Training Course.
  • Two years of clinical work experience in a therapeutic setting with children, youth, and families that have been or are involved in issues relating to abuse (verbal, physical, sexual, and neglect).
  • At least one year of clinical supervisory of staff and trainees in a similar organization preferred.
  • Must have awareness of trauma and substance abuse issues and how they impact a family system.
  • Must have strong knowledge of individual, family, and group therapy practices. Knowledge and experience in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Intensive Family Therapy, or evidence-based trauma therapies preferred.
  • Experience with Utilization Management preferred.
  • Must have knowledge of DSM-V diagnosing, treatment planning, crisis intervention, and case management.
  • Strong assessment and evaluation skills.
  • Ability to work with clients and staff from diverse cultural and economic backgrounds.
  • Experience in or knowledge of psychological assessment preferred.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and consultation skills.

Salary Information:

This position has a salary range of $98,594.50 to $117,423.82 depending on years of clinical supervision and bilingual language skills.
