Job Summary

Encore Global is seeking a highly experienced Regional Director, Venues to lead our operations in a specific market or allocated locations in a region. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring a high quality of service with venue partners, customers, and vendors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership and Development
    • Embody and promote the company's core values, fostering a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
    • Act as a liaison between the Regional Vice President, Venues and venue partners, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
    • Mentor and develop venue leaders, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
    • Facilitate and schedule team member training, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
    • Identify and recommend development opportunities, assisting in the development of succession plans to ensure a smooth transition of leadership.
    • Maintain adequate staffing levels, ensuring the right people are in the right roles to meet business needs.
    • Ensure performance management concerns are addressed in a timely manner, following company guidelines and procedures.
  • Financial Management
    • Ensure all locations are running efficiently and profitably, with a focus on revenue maximization and cost control measures in accordance with company standard operating procedures.
    • Drive results in revenue growth, cost management, and other financial areas through operational planning, forecasting, cost control, EBITDA growth, and flow-through.
    • Conduct periodic financial reviews at each location, focusing on cost and revenue opportunity management and ensuring benchmark goals are met.
    • Provide recommendations to the Regional Vice President, Venues for the annual benchmark review process for assigned locations.
    • Collaborate with regional labor and equipment leaders to maximize labor and equipment utilization.
    • Review, recommend, and approve capital expenditure requests, ensuring they align with business objectives.
    • Collaborate with venue leaders and the Regional Vice President, Venues to develop and deliver business reviews, ensuring a clear understanding of performance and areas for improvement.
    • Ensure revenue forecasts are completed in a timely and accurate manner, providing a solid foundation for business planning.
    • Partner with accounts receivable to ensure timely collections, minimizing any potential disruptions to cash flow.
  • Quality Service
    • Deliver world-class service by analyzing results from the Guest Satisfaction Survey (GSS), Venue Executive Surveys, and Venue-Branded Surveys, assisting in the development and implementation of applicable action plans.
    • Collaborate with the Regional Vice President, Venues to coordinate renewal activities, manage hotel openings, and acquire new hotel contracts and/or new specialty services.
    • Coordinate hiring activities, including participation in interviewing and placement for proper skill and culture fit into the company.
  • Equipment Management
    • Enforce the security of stored gear, transportation, and maintenance of equipment at locations, ensuring they are properly maintained and secure.
    • Provide analysis of equipment needs for locations, partnering with the Regional Vice President, Venues to establish proper CAPEX submission.
    • Ensure that the management team effectively utilizes all company computer systems and software programs, providing assistance when necessary.
  • Information Management and Reporting
    • Collect and consolidate monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reporting as assigned, providing a clear understanding of performance and areas for improvement.
    • See the big picture by developing programs that improve efficiencies within the area through shared labor, equipment, and industry knowledge.
    • Assist the Regional Vice President, Venues with implementing and maintaining initiatives, ensuring optimal performance and alignment with business objectives.
    • Utilize company systems for site visit reviews to ensure location adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and appropriate business practices.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 14+ years of audio visual, hospitality, or operations experience.
  • 12+ years of sales/customer service experience.
  • 10+ years of operations supervisory/management experience in audio visual.
  • Multi-unit leadership experience or experience successfully mentoring management-level employees.
  • Effective relationship management skills and experience.
  • Strong financial acumen, sales planning, forecasting, and CRM.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to support growth initiatives.
  • Proficiency with the use of computer hardware.
  • Proficiency with computer software and programs, including the Internet and Microsoft Office.

Work Environment

Work is generally performed at an office that is moderately quiet. Team members will visit other work locations for meetings or for other business reasons. Working times will include days and may include evenings, weekends, and holidays. Team members must adhere to appearance guidelines as defined by Encore. This position may require up to 40% travel.
