The Chief Actuary is responsible for leading and managing all actuarial operations. This role will lead a team of actuaries and analysts in providing expert guidance on pricing, valuation, risk assessment, trend analysis, and financial forecasting for our health insurance products and services. This role will work collaboratively with the senior leadership team and will play an important role in shaping our strategic direction and ensuring the financial stability of our organization.

What you'll do:
  • Provide direction and leadership to the actuarial team, while fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, continuous learning, and ethical decision making.
  • Develop and implement actuarial strategies aligned with business goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Accountable for the development and maintenance of financial models to evaluate pricing, profitability, and risk exposure.
  • Lead the pricing strategy for health insurance products and services, ensuring competitiveness while maintaining profitability.
  • Responsible for the analysis and establishment of reserves to ensure financial stability and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Assess and mitigate risks associated with underwriting, claims, and financial operations.
  • Utilize advanced statistical techniques and data analytics to drive insights and support decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and reporting requirements.
  • Lead and oversee actuarial team. Manage team performance through regular, timely feedback as well as the formal performance review process, to ensure delivery of exceptional services and engagement, motivation, and team development.
  • Work collaboratively with senior management, market segment leaders, product, underwriting, claims, and finance teams to provide actuarial insights and support cross-functional initiatives.
To be considered for this position, you must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field. Associate or Fellowship in the Society of Actuaries (ASA or FSA) designation.
  • 10+ years of experience in a related position with a proven leadership in a senior management role.
The strongest candidates for this position will also possess:
  • Member of the American Academy of Actuaries and U.S. Health Qualified.
