Position Overview

As a Vacuum Systems Engineering Technician, your responsibilities will include:

Assisting Engineering Operations

  • Conduct routine calibrations on furnace controllers and perform Temperature Uniformity Surveys.
  • Help in gathering and interpreting process data from vacuum brazing, heat treatment, and aging furnaces.
  • Collaborate with engineers to draft procedures and documentation.
  • Construct and assemble fixtures for various processes including core stacking, vacuum brazing, and pressure testing.
  • Fabricate specialized tools as necessary.
  • Provide operational support to manufacturing teams.

Essential Qualifications

  • Skilled in the use of standard hand tools and measurement instruments.
  • Ability to interpret engineering schematics.
  • Capable of assembling process fixtures effectively.
  • Proficient in using personal computers for tasks such as data logging and documentation (MS Word & Excel).

Laboratory Equipment Maintenance

  • Calibrate temperature controllers, thermocouples, and related instruments.
  • Advise on the acquisition or replacement of laboratory instrumentation.

Educational Background

  • A high school diploma or an Associate's degree in Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience.
