As an Automation Systems Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design and implementation of advanced control systems. This position requires a strong educational background and hands-on experience in engineering disciplines.
Qualifications:Educational Background:
M.S. in Computer Science, Mechanical, Aerospace, or Electrical Engineering is required.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in programming languages such as MATLAB and Python for data analysis is essential.
A solid understanding of Classical Control Theory, including PID controllers, tuning, stability, and filtering techniques is necessary.
Experience with multi-degree-of-freedom robotic systems is highly valued.
Additional Skills:
Basic knowledge of C or C++ programming is preferred.
A strong mathematical foundation in Calculus and Linear Algebra is expected.
Hands-on experience with laboratory equipment, including oscilloscopes, data acquisition systems, and other electrical testing apparatus is advantageous.
Extensive experience in dynamic modeling of multi-link systems is preferred.
Familiarity with control methodologies for Brushless DC motors, particularly Field Oriented Control, is a plus.
The ability to interpret and analyze electrical schematics, CAD models, and mechanical drawings is essential.
Coursework or professional experience in Modern Control Theory is desirable.
Proficiency in rapid prototyping techniques using 3D printing technology is beneficial.
Advanced knowledge in Modern Control Theory, Compliance Control, and Signal Processing is an asset.
Conduct general mathematical modeling and analysis effectively.
Apply system dynamics and control systems theory in practical scenarios.
Engage in thermal modeling and analysis as part of system design.
Demonstrate hands-on experience with control systems and tuning methodologies.
Utilize MATLAB for data analysis and control simulation tasks.
Program in C and C++ for Linux and embedded systems applications.
Participate in electronic circuit design, prototyping, and troubleshooting activities.
Theoretical background and practical experience in electrical and electronic system design are preferred.
Experience in both digital and analog circuit design, as well as embedded systems and microcontroller interfacing, is advantageous.
Knowledge of power electronics design and motion control is beneficial.
Familiarity with optical design and opto-electronic components, such as laser diodes and photodiodes, is a plus.
Proficiency in design tools like OrCAD, PADS, or similar software is expected.
Lab skills, including soldering and PCB rework, are advantageous.
M.S./Ph.D. degree in Computer, Mechanical, Electrical, Aeronautic, or a related engineering field is required.
