Our managed cloud services platform, Crusoe Cloud, is powered by stranded energy and facilitates climate-friendly advancements in fields that require intensive computation, including artificial intelligence, graphics rendering, and computational biology.


Position Overview:

This position will report directly to the Senior Accountant and will play a vital role in the daily management of cash flow, expenses, accounts payable, and general ledger accounting as needed.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain precise records of the company's fixed assets, including capitalization, depreciation, transfers, and retirements.
  • Prepare journal entries for cash transactions, expenses, accounts payable, and fixed assets.
  • Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Handle payment processing and cash collection activities.
  • Reconcile accounts payable and related clearing accounts.
  • Provide ad-hoc reporting as required.
  • Set up new employees in the expense reimbursement system and manage the internal expense email account.
  • Create and maintain vendor profiles and accounting data.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • 1-5 years of experience in accounting or finance.
  • A self-starter attitude with a drive for continuous improvement.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with a distributed team.
  • Attention to detail and proficiency in accounting software, spreadsheets, and financial processes.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including lookups and pivot tables.
  • Experience with Sage Intacct, Expensify, Floqast, and Coupa is advantageous.

Work Environment:

This role offers a hybrid work schedule, with three days in the office and two days remote.

Compensation:

The salary range for this position starts at $60K and can go up to $80K, with stock options included in all offers. Compensation will be determined based on the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and market alignment.
