OBJECTIVE

This proactive individual will collaborate closely with hotel teams and fellow Property Accountants to facilitate and manage the administrative and financial accounting functions for a specific portfolio of hotels.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Reconcile general ledger and revenue accounts while addressing any outstanding discrepancies.

2. Conduct financial analysis for cash accruals, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and sales tax exemption assessments.

3. Analyze financial statements to pinpoint and clarify variances.

4. Execute month-end closing processes and reconciliations.

5. Provide accounting analyses and reports to support informed decision-making.

6. Maintain general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries for accruals and variances.

7. Supply relevant accounting information to hotel management as required.

8. Assist hotel teams with daily accounting inquiries and issues.

9. Generate and distribute monthly account management reports.

10. Comply with standard accounting practices and company policies.

11. Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple tasks and adhere to strict deadlines.

12. Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills.

13. Possess excellent interpersonal and organizational abilities.

14. Showcase effective time management skills.

15. Display a strong sense of initiative and follow-through.

16. Provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Required general accounting experience, including general ledger management, bank reconciliations, financial statement preparation, and accounts payable.

2. Proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel is essential.

3. Experience in the hospitality sector and familiarity with SAP is advantageous.

4. A Bachelor’s degree in Business/Accounting or 5 years of relevant experience is mandatory.
