Position Overview
As a vital member of our Shared Services Accounting Team, the Lodging Financial Specialist will play a key role in managing financial operations related to lodging and homeowner accounts.

Core Responsibilities
1. **Lodging Financial Management**: Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly assessments of lodging revenues and expenditures to ensure precise entries in the general ledger.
2. **Journal Entry Preparation**: Create daily, weekly, and month-end journal entries for lodging revenue and owner share revenue.
3. **Information Flow Understanding**: Grasp the information flow through property management and general ledger systems.
4. **Month-End Close Process**: Ensure a thorough and accurate month-end closing process within the company's established timelines.
5. **Homeowner Account Statements**: Prepare monthly statements for homeowners as stipulated by each resort's Rental Management Agreement and manage revenue distributions accordingly.
6. **Annual Reporting**: Facilitate the preparation of annual 1099-MISC reports for homeowner revenue payments.
7. **Account Reconciliation Support**: Assist the General Ledger Team with research on account reconciliations for all lodging accounts.
8. **Travel Agent Statements**: Prepare and process monthly statements and payments for travel agents regarding commissionable reservations.
9. **Accounts Receivable Management**: Maintain a customer database for accounts receivable and prepare invoices on a regular basis.
10. **Payment Reconciliation**: Reconcile and apply incoming payments for accounts receivable on a daily basis.

Qualifications
- **Experience**: A minimum of 2 years in accounting, particularly in lodging/homeowner accounting and accounts receivable.
- **Software Proficiency**: Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365, Springer Miller Systems, Galaxy/Litespeed, and Owner Relations accounting software is preferred.
- **Educational Background**: A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred but not mandatory.
- **Skills**: Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities, along with excellent communication skills, are essential for success in this role.
