Job Overview

The Instrumentation Program Engineer (IPE) plays a pivotal role within GE Renewable Energy Power and Aviation, reporting directly to the Senior Operation Management Staff Manager. This position focuses on overseeing instrumentation specifications for military and commercial engines during the Development Assembly & Component Test phases.

Key Responsibilities:

As the Instrumentation Program Engineer (IPE), your duties will include:
  • Managing instrumentation specifications effectively
  • Overseeing cost and scheduling related to engines and additional data as outlined in the Test Project Sheet (TPS)
  • Daily collaboration with: Instrumentation, Design, Systems, Assembly, Engineering, Evaluation, Testing, Tooling, and Project Teams, along with the Hourly workforce
  • Participating in initiatives that enhance the scheduling and execution of development engines, with a strong emphasis on: Integrity, Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Overall Cost Management
  • Utilizing software tools such as: IDS, IWS, eTPS, Open Plan, Digital Thread, Intelligence, Digital Workbench, VIS mock-up, and various access databases
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years of relevant Manufacturing experience
  • At least 3 years of experience in Production Processes and Equipment
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen capable of obtaining clearance
