Job Overview

As a key member of the engineering team at GE Aerospace, the Instrumentation Program Engineer (IPE) plays a vital role in overseeing instrumentation specifications and requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate instrumentation needs for various projects.
  • Oversee cost and scheduling for engine projects, ensuring all necessary information is documented through a Test Project Sheet (TPS).
  • Engage daily with cross-functional teams including Instrumentation, Design, Systems, Assembly, Engineering, Evaluation, Testing, Tooling, and Project Personnel, as well as collaborating with the hourly workforce.
  • Participate in activities aimed at scheduling and executing development engines, with a focus on Integrity, Safety, Quality, Delivery, and overall Cost Management.
  • Utilize software tools such as IDS, IWS, eTPS, Open Plan, Digital Thread, Intelligence, Digital Workbench, VIS mock-up, and various access databases for effective project management.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of relevant manufacturing experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Production Processes and Equipment.
  • Must be a US Citizen with the capability to obtain necessary security clearance.
