Job Overview

The Instrumentation Program Engineer (IPE) plays a pivotal role within GE Aviation, reporting directly to the Senior Operation Management Staff Manager. This position is essential for overseeing instrumentation specifications on both military and commercial engines during the Development Assembly & Component Test phases.

Key Responsibilities:

As the Instrumentation Program Engineer (IPE), your duties will include:

  • Managing the instrumentation specifications for various projects.
  • Overseeing cost and scheduling for engines, along with any additional data required via a Test Project Sheet (TPS).
  • Engaging daily with teams across Instrumentation, Design, Systems, Assembly, Engineering, Evaluation, Testing, Tooling, and Project Management, as well as collaborating with the hourly workforce.
  • Participating in activities that enhance the scheduling and execution of development engines, focusing on Integrity, Safety, Quality, Delivery, and overall Cost Initiatives.
  • Utilizing software tools such as IDS, IWS, eTPS, Open Plan, Digital Thread, Intelligence, Digital Workbench, VIS mock-up, and various access databases.
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in Manufacturing.
  • At least 3 years of experience in Production Processes and Equipment.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with the capability to obtain necessary security clearance.
