Position Overview:

The County of Lake is seeking a qualified individual for the role of Assessor Recorder. This position operates under general supervision and involves a range of specialized tasks related to account management, statistical analysis, document processing, and technical record-keeping.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing fiscal records, applications, and specialized documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Providing assistance to the public and County staff regarding Assessor/Recorder's procedures and requirements.
  • Delivering information about the services and functions of the Assessor/Recorder's office.
  • Performing advanced technical and office support tasks as required.

Qualifications:

Deputy Assessor - Recorder I:
Licensing and Certifications: Must possess, or be able to obtain, a valid California Driver's License.
Education and Experience: A minimum of one (1) year of full-time experience in office, financial, or statistical support work is required. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in real estate, title work, or related assessment/document recording fields.

Deputy Assessor - Recorder II:
Licensing and Certifications: Must possess, or be able to obtain, a valid California Driver's License.
Education and Experience: At least one (1) year of experience in financial, statistical, assessment roll, or document processing and recording work at a level comparable to Deputy Assessor-Recorder I with the County of Lake.

Deputy Assessor - Recorder Senior:
Licensing and Certifications: Must possess, or be able to obtain, a valid California Driver's License.
Education and Experience: A minimum of two (2) years of experience in financial, statistical, assessment roll, or document processing and recording work at a level comparable to Deputy Assessor-Recorder II with the County of Lake.
