Position Overview:

The County of Lake is seeking qualified candidates for the role of Assessor Recorder. This position operates under general supervision and involves a range of specialized tasks related to account management, statistical analysis, document processing, and technical record-keeping.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and verify fiscal records, applications, and specialized documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist the public and County staff in understanding the procedures and requirements of the Assessor/Recorder's office.
  • Provide information regarding the services and functions of the Assessor/Recorder's office.
  • Perform advanced technical and office support tasks as required.

Licensing and Certifications:
Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid California Driver's License is required.

Education and Experience:

  • Deputy Assessor-Recorder I: One (1) year of full-time experience in office, financial, or statistical support work, preferably in real estate or document recording.
  • Deputy Assessor-Recorder II: One (1) year of experience in financial, statistical, or document processing work at a level comparable to Deputy Assessor-Recorder I.
  • Deputy Assessor-Recorder Senior: Two (2) years of experience in financial, statistical, or document processing work at a level comparable to Deputy Assessor-Recorder II.
