Your responsibilities will include collaborating with clients, financial institutions, and the Department of Social Services (DSS) to ensure that applications are submitted accurately and on time.

As a Medicaid Client Care Coordinator, your key responsibilities will encompass:
  • Client Interaction: Engage with clients, financial advisors, and insurance representatives through various communication channels to collect necessary information for Medicaid applications.
  • Issue Resolution: Anticipate potential challenges and proactively address them to facilitate a smooth application process.
  • Document Management: Gather and organize critical documents (such as financial records and vital statistics) required for Medicaid applications with DSS.
  • Service Enhancement: Propose and implement improvements to elevate service quality, efficiency, and responsiveness to client needs.
  • Client Consultations: Conduct initial meetings to review and finalize Medicaid applications and supporting documents, with follow-up sessions as necessary.
  • Deadline Management: Prioritize and manage tasks effectively to consistently meet application deadlines.

Qualifications for the Medicaid Client Care Coordinator:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; additional education or certification in office administration is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Medicaid paralegal or in a related field.
  • Exceptional client service and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong attention to detail and proofreading capabilities.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in analyzing financial statements and tracking transactions across various investment vehicles.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities effectively.
