Administrative Hearings Coordinator

Salary Range: $60,278 to $66,634
Job Overview:
The Administrative Hearings Coordinator is an integral role within the NYS Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance, responsible for overseeing the administrative hearing process. This position entails managing inquiries related to hearing procedures and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide detailed information regarding hearing procedures to agency staff, clients, and their representatives.
- Process requests for various types of hearings, including Fair Hearings and Homebound Hearings.
- Schedule and prioritize hearings in accordance with established regulations.
- Manage workflow at hearing locations and conduct necessary administrative tasks.
- Handle inquiries from clients and make appropriate referrals to relevant program areas.
- Draft responses to correspondence related to the hearing process.
- Analyze and update information from various systems to ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Identify parties involved in adverse actions against clients and notify them of hearing requests.
- Compile statistical data and assist in preparing reports.
Qualifications:
Candidates must possess four years of experience in providing services to individuals eligible for social services programs or in administering related programs. Educational qualifications may substitute for experience as outlined in the position requirements.
Working Conditions:
This position may be filled through non-competitive appointment, and candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Proficiency in Spanish is required for positions designated for Spanish-speaking populations.
