Your Role:

The Accounts Receivable/Credit Specialist will take a proactive approach in managing customer Accounts Receivable, Credit Accounts, and Collections. This role is crucial in ensuring that the company's assets are accurately accounted for, safeguarded against risks, and collected promptly.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor the aging of accounts receivable and follow up with clients as necessary.
  • Facilitate the resolution of customer disputes in collaboration with various departments, from initial notice to final resolution.
  • Reconcile customer accounts, ensuring accuracy and addressing any discrepancies with customers or relevant departments.
  • Evaluate customer credit applications for creditworthiness, utilizing resources such as Experian reports and NACM data.
  • Provide recommendations for credit approval or denial to the Supervisor/Controller.
  • Actively engage and supply accurate information for industry group meetings and communications with NACM.
  • Deliver timely and precise status updates and reports to management regularly.
  • Serve as a backup receptionist by answering calls during breaks or absences, processing customer deposits promptly, maintaining accurate cash receipt records, and managing filing and record retention.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Associate or Bachelor's Degree (preferred).
  • Self-motivated and proactive attitude.
  • Experience with computer applications, particularly MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Access.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with effective time management and organizational skills.
  • 1 to 3 years of prior experience in Credit and/or Collections (required).
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by the Accounts Receivable Specialist to successfully perform the essential functions of this role; reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.

Specific vision abilities required for this position include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The role may require prolonged periods of sitting while working at a computer, occasional lifting and moving of up to 30 lbs, and the ability to navigate concrete floors with full range body motion for climbing, pushing, lifting, and reaching.

Completion of an employment application, background investigation (including past employment, education, and criminal history), and drug screening is required.

Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM
