Department: Commercial Maintenance
Location: Clackamas, Oregon
Compensation: Targeted at $70-75k base salary plus commissions on new sales and enhancement sales, healthcare, vehicle, cell phone, laptop, PTO. Enhancement sales commission is 5% and new maintenance contracts is 1/12th of the contract price for 12 months. This can easily be a $100k job.
Position Summary:
BraveView, Inc. is a well-established full-service landscaping firm recognized for its commitment to quality service in the greater Portland, OR area. We are seeking an Account Manager to oversee a portfolio of HOA accounts, focusing on expanding the business, enhancing client satisfaction, promoting additional services, and ensuring contract renewals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and secure new maintenance accounts and enhancement projects.
- Manage assigned HOA accounts effectively.
- Oversee daily operations of crews and equipment.
Account Management & Sales:
- Identify and pursue new maintenance opportunities on the Eastside to grow the existing portfolio.
- Conduct at least one site visit per month for each account.
- Schedule monthly on-site meetings with HOA contacts to provide updates.
- Monitor irrigation systems, adjust settings as necessary, and report required repairs.
- Assess the health of turf, shrubs, and trees, coordinating technician visits as needed.
- Prepare work orders and proposals for clients as required.
- Recommend enhancements and provide proposals to meet or exceed sales objectives.
- Complete daily paperwork, including receipts and billing.
Management of Crews and Equipment:
- Recruit new crew members as necessary.
- Address crew-related issues and implement disciplinary actions when required.
- Utilize GPS to monitor time spent on accounts and ensure optimal routing.
- Report significant crew issues to the Department Manager.
- Regularly evaluate accounts for quality assurance.
- Ensure that equipment and vehicles needing maintenance are reported and serviced.
- Conduct annual performance reviews.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Account Manager in a commercial or HOA environment.
- A degree in horticulture, landscape management, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of irrigation systems, plant identification, and pest/disease management is essential.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English is advantageous but not required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Capable of traversing various terrains on client properties.
- Able to operate a company vehicle, including occasional towing of trailers.
This is a full-time position with a flexible Monday-Friday work schedule. Pre-employment drug screening, background checks, a valid insurable driver's license, and a DOT physical are required.
