Position Overview:

The Healthcare Services Coordinator plays a crucial role as a liaison to facilitate medical care, offering assistance to patients and psychiatric professionals while ensuring high-quality service to both in-person and remote clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Excellence:
  • Promote a positive workplace culture; engage in activities that enhance clinician and staff involvement to strengthen the LifeStance culture.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, responding promptly and effectively to patient inquiries, and managing challenging or emotional situations with care.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, clinicians, and patients to support patient care and clinician satisfaction.
Patient Support:
  • Assist psychiatric clinicians with essential patient care tasks, including prior authorizations, lab orders, and documentation requests.
  • Facilitate communication between patients, medical staff, and pharmacies as necessary.
  • Manage incoming calls to the medical services line, providing support for medication inquiries, refill requests, appointment changes, and other questions.
  • Ensure the accuracy of patient pharmacy information within medical records.
  • Digitally archive all physical correspondence into patients' electronic health records.
  • Assist patients with telehealth access and troubleshoot Patient Portal issues as needed.
  • Address urgent requests immediately; triage patient concerns and direct them to the appropriate departments.
  • Support the coordination of external referrals for patient care.
Clinician Support:
  • Provide general support to clinicians, assisting with administrative tasks such as sending correspondence and faxes.
  • Coordinate with clinicians regarding any additional patient inquiries.
  • Assist psychiatric clinicians with the patient termination process when necessary.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities to ensure a high-quality patient experience.
  • Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in computer software applications, including Microsoft Office and electronic medical records.
  • Comfortable handling sensitive and confidential information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Education and Experience:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; an associate's or bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in healthcare operations, customer service, or a related field is preferred.
