About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive individual to join our team at Builders FirstSource as an Account Coordinator. This role will provide administrative support and customer service to our sales teams, handling inquiries, scheduling, and maintaining product information.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide accurate and timely support to the outside sales team, members of the inside sales team, and/or customers.
  • Serve as a liaison between the sales organization and customers, handling incoming phone calls and e-mails, and providing requested information promptly and efficiently.
  • Monitor scheduled shipping dates to ensure timely delivery and expedite, as needed.
  • Investigate customer complaints or concerns, relay customer concerns to others on the sales team, and assist in investigating the issue.
  • Coordinate with other departments throughout the company on quotes, orders, returns, and credits.
  • Maintain up-to-date vendor/source product catalogs with current product and pricing information.
  • Maintain customer files and job files.
  • Enter orders into the system and schedule delivery of products.
  • Remain current on customer preferences, changes in local codes, and product developments by attending in-house meetings, vendor training, or reading trade journals.
  • Understand and observe all safety procedures and practices to prevent injury to self or coworkers.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED and prior admin support and/or customer service experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of company products, pricing, discount, and estimating formulas and guidelines.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of basic math and measurement skills.
  • Good interpersonal and customer relations skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with ongoing deadlines.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
