Position Overview

Drew University is in search of qualified candidates for the role of Assistant Athletic Trainer. This role is integral to the Department of Sports Medicine and Performance, providing essential support to our athletic programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive athletic training services, including initial injury assessments, treatment plans, and rehabilitation protocols for athletes.
  • Conduct baseline evaluations for athletes to monitor performance and health.
  • Be present at scheduled team practices and competitions, both home and away, as required.
  • Maintain effective communication with team physicians, coaches, and athletes to ensure seamless care and support.
  • Participate in educational symposiums and meetings to promote professional growth and meet continuing education standards.
  • Handle administrative tasks as necessary to support the athletic training program.
  • Provide daily updates to the head athletic trainer regarding injury statuses, rehabilitation progress, and athlete issues.

Qualifications:

  • NATABOC Certification
  • New Jersey Athletic Training License
  • CPR and First Aid Certification
