About the Role

Capital City Hospice is a leading provider of compassionate care services, dedicated to delivering exceptional support to patients and their families in Central Ohio.

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Hospice Volunteer Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing volunteer programs that enhance the quality of life for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive Volunteer Training Program to ensure volunteers are equipped to provide exceptional support to patients and families.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise a diverse team of volunteers to maximize their impact and engagement in our services.
  • Design and maintain volunteer retention programs to foster a sense of community and belonging among our volunteers.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to volunteer management.
  • Develop innovative programs that leverage the skills and talents of our volunteers to enhance our clinical and administrative services.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Operations to identify opportunities for volunteer engagement and development.
Requirements
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with patients, families, and staff.
  • Proven experience in group organizational management, with a focus on volunteer recruitment, training, and supervision.
  • Knowledge of hospice care principles and practices.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent observation, problem-solving, and verbal and written communication skills.
