We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Hospice Volunteer Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing volunteer programs that enhance the quality of life for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive Volunteer Training Program to ensure volunteers are equipped to provide exceptional support to patients and families.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise a diverse team of volunteers to maximize their impact and engagement in both clinical and administrative services.
  • Design and maintain volunteer retention programs to foster a sense of community and belonging among our volunteer base.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to volunteer management.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Operations to develop and implement programs that optimize the use of volunteers in various aspects of our organization.
  • Assist in the recruitment, training, and development of all volunteer programs as needed.
Requirements
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and present to groups with sensitivity and compassion.
  • Significant experience in group organizational management.
  • Desirable: Volunteer experience, particularly in recruitment, training, and supervision of volunteers.
  • Knowledge of hospice care principles and practices.
  • Must be a licensed driver with a reliable vehicle and valid insurance.
  • Excellent observation, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workload independently.
