Overview of the LPN Position at Ohio's Hospice:
  • This role involves working on a PRN night shift basis within our Hospice Inpatient Unit.
  • Shifts are scheduled from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, including a weekend rotation.
  • The hourly compensation for this PRN position is $30, in addition to a night shift differential.
  • Our mission is to provide exceptional care and service to patients during their end-of-life journey. A genuine compassion for hospice care is essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:

The LPN will be responsible for planning and delivering patient care by employing the nursing process, which includes assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. The LPN will effectively communicate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members while upholding professional nursing standards. We are dedicated to offering superior care and services to patients at the end of their lives, and only those with a heartfelt commitment to hospice will thrive in this environment.

Qualifications for LPN Candidates:

Registered LPN with the State of Ohio, free from any board actions, and a minimum of one year of nursing experience is required.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Certification in Hospice & Palliative Medicine (CHPN) is preferred and must be obtained within two years of employment (eligibility upon completion of 500 hours in the last 12 months of hospice/palliative experience).
  • Proficient computer skills for accurate documentation of services and care.
  • Ability to drive in various weather conditions, including nighttime.
  • Possession of a valid Driver's License with a safe driving record.
  • Compliance with state minimum automobile insurance coverage.
