Position Overview:
Join our team as a Senior Cost Analyst, where you will collaborate with a dynamic product team, closely engaging with engineers and logistics experts to develop comprehensive cost estimates essential for the creation, acquisition, and support of cost-effective Naval Aviation Systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Utilize your extensive knowledge of cost estimating principles specific to weapons systems across various assignments. You will be responsible for:
1. Understanding technical baselines and applying technical judgment.
2. Translating technical and financial risks into cost assessments, ensuring confidence in estimates.
3. Engaging in budgeting, planning, programming, and logistics support processes.
4. Modifying and enhancing existing methodologies, employing advanced techniques as necessary.
Work Environment:
This role primarily supports telework, with a requirement to be on-site a few days each week.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: A minimum of 8 years of experience within the Department of Defense or a related sector is preferred.
- Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain a Secret DOD clearance.
