Position Overview:
Join our dynamic team as a Senior Cost Analyst, where you will collaborate with engineers and logistics experts to develop comprehensive cost estimates essential for the advancement and support of Naval Aviation Systems.

Key Responsibilities:
Utilize your extensive knowledge of cost estimating principles and practices within the defense sector. Your role will involve:

  • Understanding and analyzing technical baselines and applying sound technical judgment.
  • Translating technical and financial risks into cost assessments to enhance estimate reliability.
  • Engaging in budgeting, planning, programming, and acquisition processes.
  • Extending and modifying existing methodologies, potentially employing advanced techniques.
  • Working independently or leading a team, providing mentorship to mid and junior analysts.

Work Environment:
This position primarily allows for telework, with an expectation of on-site presence 1-2 days per week.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: A minimum of 8 years of experience in the Department of Defense or a related field is preferred.
  • Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain a Secret DOD clearance.
